Product Detail
Studio L Glassworks Artistic Panels Series is an element of color or depth to your interior. A variety of textures, sizes, and colors allow for maximum flexibility. Studio L Glassworks panels are manufactured to meet industry spefications and are a recommended wall application for commercial or residential use. Variations in color, shade, texture, pattern, and size are inherent in all fired glass products. Studio L Glassworks panels should not be exposed to high abrasion or extremely heavy impact.
Note: Please note that panels are handcrafted artistic glass and are not guaranteed to match samples. Variations in color, shade, and size are inherent in all fired glass products and are considered normal.
Strength & Durability
Studio L Glassworks panels are composed of sand, soda ash (sodium carbonate), dolomite, limestone, and salt cake (sodium sulfate) making it a solid, strong building material that is impervious to freeze/thaw cycles and water. The longevity of the glass adds to its sustainability.
Maintenance
Studio L Glassworks panels are considered a low maintenance finish. Glass is a nonporous material and will not absorb dirt, dust, and other debris. A damp cloth or sponge is sufficient for general cleaning. Mild, NON-ABRASIVE, surface cleaners can be used to clean tougher messes.
Care
Care for Studio L Glassworks panels is simple. Avoid extreme temperature changes and heavy impact.
After installation, the glass should be kept clean. For dried-on material, extra-fine steel wool or a single sided razor blade can be used to gently remove any undesired marks on the surface. This will work well for unwanted adhesive, dried paint, day-old sauces, etc. A dry, soft cloth is recommended for cleaning around or on the digital image material.
Note: Do NOT gouge the surface when using the razor blade. This is NOT recommended for panels where a digital image is applied. Using a razor blade or steel wool directly on the applied digital image will gouge the applied decal.
Cutting
Cutting is not recommended on finished artistic panels. All specifications should be accounted for prior to firing the artistic panel. If sizing is needed, please call 1-888-847-9056 for instructions.
Drilling
Drilling is not recommended on finished artistic panels. All specified drilling instructions should be accounted for prior to firing. If drilling is needed, please call 1-888-847-9056 for instructions.
If possible, drill before installation. Drilling before installation is easily accomplished by drilling from both sides. This will help reduce chipping and cracking.
Adhesives
Cement-based installation products are recommended for installation.
Mastics and epoxies should be avoided due to low flexibility, yellowing, low bonding strength, and degradation in UV sunlight.
Installation
Installation guidelines may vary. Please call 1-888-847-9056 for installation questions.
Grouting
Grout mix shall be used in accordance to manufacture’s specifications. A non-sanded grout is recommended to avoid surface scratches.
Epoxy grout should not be used due to lack of flexibility and degradation in UV sunlight.
